Sell a luxury apartment in Paris
Entrust the sale of your Paris apartment or private mansion to a single point of contact, from valuation to signing at the notary.
Selling your property in Paris
In Paris, value is read street by street, sometimes floor by floor. A Haussmann apartment on the noble floor of avenue Montaigne, a private mansion between courtyard and garden in the Faubourg Saint-Germain and a top-floor terrace over the rooftops of the Marais are not valued the same way. Liberty House visits your property, studies its aspect, ceiling height, the upkeep of the building and the co-ownership rules, then proposes a reasoned price positioning.
We prepare your property before it is presented, with photography true to its light, an accurate description and a complete co-ownership file, which Paris buyers examine closely. Your apartment is then presented to qualified buyers, French and international, and, if you prefer, in full confidentiality, away from any public listing.
Our head office is on the avenue des Champs-Élysées. A single point of contact arranges viewings, screens candidates, leads the negotiation and supports you through to the signing of the deed. Discretion is the rule, and we share only what you agree to make visible.

Selling in Paris? Estimate the French capital gains tax
The tax authority’s own method, applied to your sale. Income tax, social charges, the surcharge above €50,000 and the allowances for length of ownership.
Your estimate
Enter the sale price, the purchase price and the purchase date.
The main residence box only applies to a French tax resident. A non-resident may be exempt under other conditions, to be checked with the notary.
An indicative estimate, based on the rates reviewed on 27 October 2026. The notary calculates the tax and pays it on the day of the sale.
This estimate does not cover companies subject to corporate tax, property dealers, the €150,000 exemption for former EU residents or the main residence exemption for non-residents.

Selling in Paris, your questions
How is my property in Paris valued?
We visit your property, assess its area, condition and features and set it against comparable market references, then provide a reasoned valuation and a marketing plan suited to Paris, in strict confidence.
Does the area change the valuation in Paris?
Yes. From the Golden Triangle and Invalides to the Marais and Passy, price references differ from one area to the next. We value your property against sales in its own area, not against an average for the whole of Paris.
Is the valuation confidential and without obligation?
Yes. The valuation is carried out in full confidentiality and commits you to nothing, and you stay free to decide what comes next. We share only what you agree to make visible.
Which documents are needed to sell in Paris?
Depending on the property, this covers the title deed, mandatory surveys, the latest property tax and, for a co-owned home, the regulations, meeting minutes and charge statements. We hand you the full list at the valuation stage.
How long does a sale take in Paris?
The timeline depends on the property, the area and the asking price. At the valuation we give you a realistic benchmark and a marketing plan, without committing you to a meaningless figure.
What are your fees in Paris?
Our transaction fees are payable by the buyer and are not deducted from your net selling price. The rate and terms are on our Fees page and in the sale mandate.
What differs here
Local taxes in Paris
Sale law is national. Local taxation and planning rules are not. Here is what is specific to this town, with the official source and its date.
Council tax on second homes in Paris
60% (council decision of 31 January 2017)
A Paris apartment that is not its occupant’s main home carries a council tax whose municipal share is increased by 60%, the legal maximum. Paris voted it on 31 January 2017, and the DGFiP’s 2026 record still lists it.
For a pied-à-terre, this surcharge applies every year, and it is owed by whoever has the use of the home on 1 January.
